Drafty (drafty.ca) is a free matching service that connects Toronto and GTA homeowners with vetted local window and door installation companies. This policy explains, in plain English, what information we collect, why we collect it, and who we share it with.
What we collect
When you submit our quote form, we collect the information you type in: your name, phone number, email address, postal code or city, the service you need (windows, doors, or both), and any project details you choose to include.
We do not ask for, and you should not submit, financial information, government ID numbers, or anything else sensitive. The form exists for one purpose: getting you a quote.
Who we share it with, and why
This is the important part. When you submit the quote form, you consent to us sharing your contact details and project information with one or more vetted local installation partner companies so they can contact you and provide a quote. That is the entire point of the service, and it is the only reason we collect your information.
Our partners are independent companies, not Drafty employees or contractors. Before we send them any homeowner information, we verify their liability insurance, WSIB coverage, and written workmanship warranty. We do not sell your information to data brokers, list builders, or anyone unrelated to your project.
If you no longer want a partner to contact you, tell them directly or email us and we will pass it along.
Analytics and cookies
We may use Meta Pixel and Microsoft Clarity to understand how people find and use this site and to measure advertising. These tools set cookies and collect standard usage data such as pages viewed, device type, and approximate location. When enabled, the Meta Pixel may also receive an event when you submit the quote form, which helps us measure which ads actually work.
You can block these cookies with your browser settings or a content blocker, and the site works fine without them.
How long we keep it
We keep quote requests for as long as needed to manage your match and maintain our records, then delete or anonymize them. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.
Your rights
Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA), you can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent and have it deleted. Email us and we will handle it promptly.
